and finally an update

a quick update with a quote I just found and really rings true.

Normal day, let me be aware of the treasure you are. Let me learn from you, love you, bless you before you depart. Let me not pass you by in quest of some rare and perfect tomorrow. Let me hold you while I may, for it may not always be so. One day I shall dig my nails into the earth, or bury my face in the pillow, or stretch myself taut, or raise my hands to the sky and want, more than all the world, your return.

I love fresh flowers!!

and now that I can get them for free at the farm I am going to be going every week until the flowers are gone. This way I can have them in the house all the time. I made myself a BEAUTIFUL bouquet of sunflowers. About 6 or 7 different kinds. They look so pretty on the mantle in the living room

Brianna, you are loved!!!!

Brianna Couture (Seth's friend), is in critical condition and needs all our prayers Here is her mother's post "Brianna remains on a ventilator...it is agonizing to not to be able to touch or speak with her. When her heart rate and blood pressure are more stable I read a few messages at a time to her. We are so overwhelmed with the love and words of encouragement coming from every direction"

Just got our CSA share

From

Red Fire Farm

I am so excited. For those who don't know about CSA's. It is short for Community Supported Agriculture. This is a wonderful to support the idea of locally grown, eat fresh produce, keep you money in your community and support small farms and farmers. What you do is pay a set price for a certain number of weeks of fresh produce. My farm has already had several distributions I am am coming in part way through. So I got a discounted rate and now every Tuesday when I go to the Farmer's Market I will go to the Red Fire stand and will pick up all of the produce they list for the weekly share. They guarantee at last 10 pounds of produce a week. For the past 2 weeks they have had over 15 pounds of produce.

I am so excited b/c they tell you what you get and it will force us to branch out and try new things. They offer recipes every week to help you with your produce. I really feel good about this!!!

A PERFECT FRIDAY NIGHT

Roger and Seth have gone out to dinner and then to the theatre to see a play. Jordan is working until 11PM. I have the house to myself with a good book and the wonderful company of Ben and Jerry. Is there anything else a girl needs??!!!
