DAY 2- SNOW LOVE

I absolutely love snow, winter and storms. It is the time I can feel the coziest and the air feels the most magical.

for this page I used: recollections glitter paper, KI Memories snowflace lace cardstock, stickles, recollections stickers, american crafts thickers (2) painted silver, queen and co felt, making memories transparency and MLS glittler letters.

Day 1- Why?

why I choose to do this journal year after year

Title page

This is the title page for my album this year. I needed to just have a title page to allow me to start the journal today. I love this photo because you can see my reflection in the Christmas bulb

The back of the cover is KI memories Christmas paper. This is, by far, my favorite piece of pattern paper ever made. I still am hoarding 5 sheets of it. LOL The transparency is from Hambly and the chipboard is Scenic Route

The chipboard "JOY" and little stars are K&Company. The letter stickers for "Christmas" are Scenic Route" The 2010 numbers are American Crafts thickers

The Christmas Journal has begun

I am all ready to begin my Christmas journal for 2010. I have created all the base pages and have finally finished the cover today Let the fun begin!!!

for the cover I used white cardstock and KI Memories white lace cardstock. on a cardboard base. I used Modge Podge to glue it all on. The label holder is a basic grey chipboard that I painted with Claudine Hellmuth paint from House of Paper then I added Stickles from House of Paper. The brads are American Crafts and the letter stickers are Making Memories from House of Paper. The star was fun to do because I got out my embossing powders and heat gun. it is a cipboard star from Basic Grey that I 1st embossed with silver and then with uxtra thick embossing clear embossing powder. I am so excited for the month to begin.

Bathroom Make-Over

Well I decided to tackle the boys bathroom since it is the bathroom that is used by all our guests. It was gross looking and did totally look like a gang of gross boys were living in there. So I decided to paint the stark white walls a mint green. I painted the vanity white and changed out the hardware. Got a new shower curtain and away we go.

AFTER- These photos do not really show the color of the room. The walls are really like the color of mint chocolate chip ice cream. Still working on decorating the walls. I have photos that will be going up soon.

Calming Down and Slowing Down

that is how I am going to deal with all the bull&#@(. I normaly operate on overdrive at work. Trying to make sure I get everything done, done perfectly and quickly. Being the best. Notice me notice me. See how good I am. Well That has been a failure so I am slowing down, taking my time, killing them with kindness. It is very difficult to try and slow down to everyone elses speed. Makes me feel like I am crawling. But it should keep me out of trouble

10 things I HATE!!!!!!

I am so angry right now that I could spit. It was such a sucky day. So to try and make myself feel a little better I am going to tell you the 10 things I hate right now and I invite you to reply with your own list!!!

1. Dishonest people who act 1 way to your face and another behind your back!!!
2. The fact that women do not run the world, or at least my little part of it.
3. The System
4. People who make mountains out of molehills for no apparent reason.
5. The fact that girls are treated differently that boys even though it is 2010, yes boys it really is true!!!! Girls are treated differently.

6. That I can not find a scrap of chocolate in my house!!! I hate it when I forget to restock the secret supply.

7. Headaches

8. Finding a new bra that fits great in the store but once you wear it for a day it is so uncomfortable.

9. BP Oil

10. Dirty dishes in the sink.

This was such a fun assignment for me at House of Paper. I have been dying to do something with my Chix photos from last spring and once I got my Three Bugs I knew it was the perfect line

getting ready for San Diego!!!

only a few more days before I am in San Diego and get to put my little piggy toes in the warm sand and Pacific Ocean with Gaye!! I am so excited. I really am dying to feel the warm sunshine resting on my face!!! I need to go to the mall after work today because I am in need of a bathing suit. Good lord why did I wait until the last minute.

Cruising with my knitting

I am having such a great time knitting these days. It is just so relaxing for me. Very zen-like. Just being able to zone out and be one with the yarn. It is like I am totally in my own little world. Here are 2 pairs of socks that I have made. Not they are not perfect BUT that is what makes them unique and I am noticing that with every sock, I get better and better.

DECEMBER 5th
The Countdown- Making memories and teresa collins papers, elle studio die cuts, tim holtz old paper ink. Love using this to darken pure white paper. The clocks were white white and just didn't lok right so I aged them with the ink.



DECEMBER 4th
Perfection- It just is never going to happen and that is OK. Making Memories papers, K&Company embellishment, Elle Studio number die cut
